MINISTERS: The visit of the Israeli Defense Minister to Greece was cancelled

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz canceled his trip to Greece, which was scheduled to take place on Friday.
According to information, the decision of the Israeli official has raised questions for the Greek Ministry of Defense, which for days has been organizing Mr. Gantz’s visit to our country in cooperation with the Israeli embassy in Athens.
It is recalled that the Minister of Defense of Israel would “attend” the first official inspection at the 120 Air Training Wing in Kalamata where the International Pilot Training Center is being created, with the Israeli defense equipment manufacturing company Elbit as a contractor.
Despite the fact that the Israelis until late Wednesday night were talking with the relevant services of the Ministry of Defense organizing the smallest detail of the Israeli official’s passage and return to Kalamata, Jerusalem was quick to inform on Thursday morning that Mr. Gantz had finally he will not come to our country after all, citing extraordinary obligations in his country.
In the “Pentagon” there was “numbness” over the cancellation of the visit, with the leadership ultimately deciding not to carry out the inspection after all. However, representatives of the Elbit company will be at 120 Fighter Wing and will inspect the work.
What raises concern, however, is the fact that the Israeli Defense Minister announced that on Wednesday (26/10) he will pay an official visit to Turkey, where he will meet with his counterpart Khusushi Akar.
