Meetings of Vice Chancellor Nikolaos Hardalia with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense and the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Australian Armed Forces, in Canberra

The Deputy Minister of National Defense Mr. Nikolaos Hardaliascontinuing his contacts in the context of his official visit to Australia, met today Tuesday, October 25, 2022, with the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense of Australia, Mr. Greg Moriarty and the Deputy Chief of the Australian Armed Forces Vice Admiral David Johnston. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Defense headquarters in Canberra.

During the talks, in a particularly cordial atmosphere, issues of mutual interest were discussed with a focus on bilateral cooperation in the fields of military education with the development and implementation of joint programs, in which we will have the participation of Armed Forces Officers and Military School Students from both countries .

Also, views were exchanged on international and regional developments, with an emphasis on Ukraine and the Eastern Mediterranean.

The Deputy Minister of National Defence, in the context of his contacts with the Greek community of Canberra, participated in a working lunch hosted by expatriate businessman Mr. Dinos Nikias.
