The Minister of National Defense Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos had today, Friday, November 11, 2022, a formal meeting with the new Ambassador of Egypt, Mr. Omar Amer Youssef.

During the discussion, the excellent level of bilateral relations between Greece and Egypt and their strategic defense relationship and the strong common will to further expand and deepen it were highlighted.

Regarding the security situation in the Eastern Mediterranean, the need to respect International Law and the principle of good neighborliness and the role of the two countries as pillars of security and stability of the wider region were underlined.
