This important infrastructure project, which will fully cover the electricity needs of the Navy ships during their docking, was carried out at the initiative of the political leadership of the Ministry of National Defense, in close cooperation with the D.E.D.D.N.E. and the contribution of the South Aegean Region and the Municipality of Megistis. It is a project that contributes, on the one hand, to increasing the operational capabilities of the Navy to support operations in the wider area of ​​the Eastern Mediterranean, Crete and the Eastern Aegean, and on the other hand, to reducing environmental noise, as well as the environmental footprint on the island.
