Saber Guardian 23 completes DEFENDER 23
With Saber Guardian 23, his latest military exercise DEFENDER 23 currently underway in Romania. Exercise DEFENDER 23, led by U.S. Army Europe and Africa, is designed to focus on the strategic deployment of United States-based continental forces, the use of established Army reserves, and enhancing interoperability among NATO Allies and partners. .
The purpose of the combined live fire exercise at Saber Guardian 2023 is to serve as a training scenario by providing live fire while allowing engineers to execute a liquid clearance crossing operation.
According to Reeves, the training value of conducting live fire at real targets with real ammunition is significantly higher than that of imaginary targets. The deployment of the M270 Multiple Launch Missile Systems and the M142 High Mobility Artillery Missile System by the participating nations has greatly enhanced the value of the training exercises conducted during Saber Guardian 23.
