A hopeful was arrested for fraud on Saturday afternoon in the center of Athens. The 20-year-old, according to exclusive information from zougla.gr, tried to deceive the employees at a well-known shopping center in Omonia.
It all started when the young man wanted to buy a sweatshirt but it seems that it was expensive for his wallet.
So he proceeded with a “strategic” move, but without having calculated the “countermeasures” of the business and the cashier.
The hopeful allegedly changed the sign where the “hot” price was written with another one that was closer to his own valantio. He approached the cash register and handed the “cheap” sweatshirt to the clerk.
But when the special “scanner” wanted to check the garment, the employee understood that something was wrong as he knew that the particular garment was not one of the cheap ones.
He immediately called the managers of the shopping center to find out what had happened. A little later the fraud was revealed and the police were called to the scene.
A little later, the military authorities were also informed of the charges the 20-year-old is facing, with his future at the Evelpidon School being uncertain.
