Greek-Turkish: Erdogan sees ghosts in Greece – What is his purpose?

Recep Tayyip Erdogan sees Greece as… a den of terrorists, wanting in this way to maintain tension.

Greek-Turkish: Just last February, Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Greece of supporting terrorism by allowing the training of PKK cadres.

Now, the new narrative of Ankara moves in a similar context, since our country is turning into a haven for “terrorists”. The Turkish President therefore brings back the baseless accusations of supporting executives of the separatist terrorist organization and other anti-regime elements.

In fact, it is one of the scenarios being considered as a setting for a possible “accident” between Greece and Turkey, especially at a time when NATO prohibits “cracks”.

Of course, it is not something new, since this particular story appears from time to time, especially when there is an upsurge in immigration.

What does Erdogan want to achieve?

For Turkey, a “search and rescue” operation in the Aegean more or a “manhunt” on the land borders of Evros would give it an occasion to take advantage of the slightest “mistake” to cause an episode, which could take unpredictable dimensions.

Thus, he has been investing in this narrative for a long time and is gradually building it, making it another “golden reserve” in the framework of the tension towards Greece.

All this while Erdogan continues the hybrid war through immigration, combined with the dangerous games on the Evros.
