It is interesting to see the French proposal, regarding the modernization of the MEKO 200HN.

Thales Netherlands’s ship modernization proposal now includes four ESSM Block 2s in each cell.
Is Mica a better rocket than ESSM Block 2? They are, as they have active guidance, extremely short reaction time and can hit aircraft, missiles, smart bombs and helicopters.
But ESSM Block 2 is more per ship, making it more useful to deal with satiety attacks.
Based on the design, it seems that the Greek MEKO will play the role of the hunters of the Turkish drones, in the saturation attacks of the Turks against the Greek Belharra.
At the same time, the Dutch are not surprised if they submit a proposal on their own, which will include a Dutch frigate as an intermediate solution ship.
The Dutch have this opportunity and they will definitely play this card.
