Feast of the Patron Saint of the Air Force 2023
During the celebration of the Patron Saint of the Air Force (PA), Archangel Michael, from Saturday 4 to Wednesday 8 November 2023, the following events will take place:
Saturday 4 to Wednesday 8 November 2023
- Aircraft replacements to enrich the static displays of the Units.
- Static and photographic exhibitions in the Units.
- Events of Air Sports Associations and Aeromodelling at Air Bases.
- Educational visits from Primary Schools, Middle Schools and High Schools to PA Units.
- Presentation of aviation exhibits and flight simulators of a PA-built F-16 fighter jet in the Air Tactics Center, as well as a virtual reality flight simulation of Rafale, F-4E, M2000-5 and F-16 aircraft, in Emporiko Center “The Mall Athens”.
- On Monday, November 6 and Tuesday, November 7, 2023, as part of the School Career Orientation, there will be educational visits from Secondary Education Schools of Attica (A and B High School students) to the Icaron School.
- Second grade students of Palamas and Farkadona High Schools who have been affected by the devastating floods in the Thessaly region, will attend a series of events as part of the Celebration. The students will be accommodated in the facilities of KEDA Zuberi.

- 09:00: Flights of 2nd grade high school students and the person chosen from the action “What does PA mean to you” at the Ikaron School, at the Decelea Air Base.
- Flights of Retired Officers and journalists at the 114th Fighter Wing, Tanagra Air Base.
Saturday, November 4, 2023 (Flisvos Marina)
- 11:00 a.m.: Musical Event by the PA Orchestra.
- 12:00: Start of Air Show.
Sunday, November 5, 2023
- 10:00: Memorial service and laying of wreaths at the Fallen Airmen’s Memorial at Dekelia Air Base, Tatoi.
Monday, November 6, 2023
- Passages of aircraft formations over major cities, critical cities and islands.
Tuesday, November 7, 2023
- 20:00: Event at the Athens Concert Hall, with the participation of well-known performers and the PA Band.
Wednesday, November 8, 2023
- 12:00: Official Celebration – Doxology at Decelia Air Base, Tatoi and fighter aircraft flyovers above the ceremony site.
The Air Force Bases will be open to the public, where it will be possible to visit the flight simulators on the following days and times:
- From Saturday 4 to Tuesday 7 November 2023, from 09:00 to 17:00.
- On Wednesday 8 November 2023, from 14:00 to 17:00.
Air Show Program
Saturday, November 4, 2023
- 12:00: Flisvos Palaio Faliro: Air show with the participation of all types of PA aircraft as well as the F-16 “Zeus”, T-6A “Daedalus” Single Aircraft Air Demonstration Teams and the anniversary Spitfire aircraft. In addition, civil aircraft of the companies “Sky Express” and “Aegean Airlines” will participate.
- 12:30: 120 Air Training Wing/Kalamata Air Base: Air show of the T-6A “Daedalus” Single Aircraft Air Demonstration Team.
Sunday, November 5, 2023
- 11:30: 110th Fighter Wing/Larissa Air Base: Air show of the T-6A “Daedalus” Single Aircraft Air Demonstration Team.
- 12:00: 110th Fighter Wing/Larissa Air Base: F-16 “Zeus” Single Aircraft Air Demonstration Team air show.
* Demonstrations, as the case may be, may be rescheduled or canceled due to weather conditions.
The PA Museum will remain open to the public from Monday 30 October to Wednesday 8 November 2023.
- From Monday 30 October to Saturday 4 November 2023, from 09:00 to 17:00.
- On Sunday, November 5, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- On Wednesday 8 November 2023, from 15:00 to 17:00.
