Erdogan sent interception corvette to the Aegean – This is how “Ufuk” works

This is the Turkish vessel “Ufuk”, with interception and eavesdropping capabilities that was monitoring the joint Greek-French exercise.

Through Sportime, you read about the Greek-French landing that “maddened” Turkey, with Recep Tayyip Erdogan taking the spy ship “Ufuk” into the Aegean for the first time.

Greek-Turkish relations continue to be on a tightrope lately, as situations are observed that could lead to an uncontrollable crisis with Turkey in the Aegean.

As for the “Ufuk”, it is a 99-meter-long corvette with a displacement of 2,400 tons that can also carry a helicopter.

It has electronic warfare, electronic interception, signal intelligence (SIGINT) and electronic communications (ELINT) intelligence gathering capabilities, as well as electronic data analysis.

In its crew, it is considered certain that agents of the Turkish secret service MIT are also included.

The exit of the Turkish interception ship “Ufuk” coincides with the conduct of the Greek-French exercise “Argo 22” which is taking place in the Pagasitikos gulf, Skyros and Agios Efstratios.

From a relative distance, the Turkish interceptor ships were watching the Greek-French high schools that ended on Saturday in the Central Aegean. Of course, the appearance of “Ufuk” in the Aegean, initially off Kalymnos and then towards Skyros and Agios Eustratios, activated the competent Greek services.

All this at a time when the neighboring country exceeds all limits with an “inflammatory” letter to the UN, with a Turkish admiral anyway… exposing Erdogan.
