Greek-Turkish: BMP 1 are leaving Chios, while Sportime was found transporting tanks from Mastichoria.
The news about the transfer of Russian tanks from the Aegean islands to Ukraine, as part of Athens’ military aid to Kyiv, has long been in the public domain.
Ukraine needs Russian weaponry that its Armed Forces know, and Greece hastened to give the BMP 1s to the Ukrainians, in order to replace them with German Marders (s.s. much better, but not yet on the islands and operational).
This specific development is critical at a time when the Turks are taking out a drilling rig in the Eastern Mediterranean for drilling and the discovery of natural gas.
In fact, Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared with all solemnity that Turkey will react tooth and nail to whoever obstructs it.
And all this while the Turks said goodbye to “Abdul Hamid Khan” with the greeting of the nationalist Gray Wolves.
