Bilateral Co-education Greece – USA

From Monday 12 to Friday 16 February 2024, and in the context of the Military Cooperation between Greece and the USA, a bilateral joint training took place in the wider area of Pieria under the coordination of the Special Warfare Command (DEP) of the Greek Armed Forces.

The co-training, which is a continuation of a similar one that took place from Monday 08 to Wednesday 17 January 2024, related to the subjects of mountain fighting and living in snow-covered areas (Cold Weather Training and Tactics), and contributed to the increase of combat capacity and the improvement of interoperability between the participating Greek and American Armed Forces.

The joint training was attended by personnel from the Greek side and the faculty of the GRETHA, while from the American side personnel from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU).

This activity proves in practice the excellent relationship between Greece and the USA. at the military level and the long-term cooperation of the two countries in the field of Special Operations, contributing to the promotion of security and stability in the wider region.
