Babcock: The proposal for Type 31 for the Navy

A photo from the potential candidacy of Type 31 as a “corvette” for the Navy (PN) was released by the British Babcock. As can be seen from the photo, the ship has 36 CAMM / CAMM ER anti-aircraft missiles, 8 EXOCET Block IIIC missiles, a 76mm cannon as well as two 30mm remote-controlled weapons stations.

The absence of a missile system such as RAM is obvious. It can be added at an additional cost. It also has MU-90 torpedoes (two double torpedo tubes).

The main radar is the NS-110. The anti-submarine suite includes Kingklip Mk2 keel sonar and sliding sonar with CAPTAS as the basic choice. It is noted that the English Type 31 does not have keel sonar and sliding sonar.

The regular system of ships is TACTICOS. The Babcock photo also shows the S-70 Aegeanhawk helicopter of the Navy.
