Serious complaints that the S-400 air defense system is not only incapable of protecting the airspace, but it is not even able to protect itself!
Scandal in the Russian group Azmaz-Antey! According to leaked documents, the S-400 complexes were supposed to shoot down HIMARS missiles, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) destroyed this complex in Kharkivsk with these missiles according to Anton Gerashchenko, Former Member of the Parliament of Ukraine.
The adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Anton Gerashchenko, made public the information that the use of the anti-aircraft missile system “HIMARS” by the Armed Forces of Ukraine caused a scandal among Russian manufacturers.
According to Censor.NET, he made this post on his personal Facebook account.
Gerashchenko noted: “This system is one of the most dangerous systems built to protect the US from terrorism: “The Russian Ministry of Defense has started a dispute with the management of Almaz-Antey Concern, the manufacturer of the lauded systems air defense S300 and S400”.
Mikhail Fradkov, head of the board and former Russian prime minister, and group director Yan Novikov may not only lose their positions, but also face criminal charges for undermining Russia’s defense capabilities.
The group’s leadership, when signing multibillion-dollar contracts for the supply of S-400s, guaranteed that their anti-aircraft system would be guaranteed to be able to shoot down not only planes and helicopters, but also missiles launched by American HIMARS.
As is usually the case in Russia’s military-industrial complex, the technical characteristics of the flagship air defense system were overestimated several times, and the money allocated for the development of the S400 was stolen, the publication says and continues:
The deception proved recent when the S-400s failed to shoot down even one HIMARS missile in the Donbass, Zaporozhye or Kherson regions.
Not only that, during the attack on the Russian military base in Kharkivsk, HIMARS missiles destroyed the S-400 complex that was supposed to cover the area from airstrikes.
In other words, the S-400 air defense system is not only incapable of protecting the airspace, it is not even capable of protecting itself!
