Holding a Meeting of Experts on “Military Mobility of the European Defense Agency”

From Tuesday, May 30 to Thursday, June 01, 2023, the Directorate of Administrative Care Support of the Defense Agency (DDF/C1) organized under the auspices of the European Union (EU) an Expert Meeting on “Military Mobility of the European Defense Agency”, which took place in the Armed Forces Officers Club (LAED).

The Meeting, which was held for the first time in Greece, aimed at developing, consolidating and deepening the European understanding of the participants in one of the Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) programs in the field of Military Mobility, as well as issuing Technical Arrangement that will govern the rules for the passage of ships and berthing in EU ports.

Greece plays an active role in this program as a Lead Nation in the field of “Cross Border Movement Permission Procedures for Movement in Europe – CBMP”.

The Meeting was attended by the Director of the Support Branch of the General Directorate of the General Directorate of Military Intelligence Lieutenant General (M) Christos Tellidis and the Director of the Division of Administrative Support of the Military Directorate of Military Intelligence Brigadier General Athanasios Vaidanis, while a total of 40 delegates from the member states of the European Union, 3 specialized staff from the Military Directorate of Military Intelligence participated and 1 from the Naval General Staff as head of the Working Group of the said Technical Agreement, as well as distinguished speakers of the European Defense Agency (EDA).
